WARNING: AMERICA’S GOT TALENT 2012 SPOILERS AHEAD

This post contains America’s Got Talent 2012 spoilers about the week 9 elimination results. Please stop reading here if you do not want to know what happens or who went home on America’s Got Talent Wednesday night.

On America’s Got Talent last night, judges Howard Stern and Howie Mandel had a nasty little catfight over the merits of contestant Big Barry, while judge Sharon Osbourne tried to keep things calm. Honestly, I personally have no idea why Big Barry even made it past the first round of the competition, and I agree with Howard Stern that he just took up a valuable spot that should have gone to a better contestant.

Only four of the acts from last night’s America’s Got Talent 2012 live performances will make it through tonight to the next round. Unfortunately, there were more than four really good acts last night, which makes it difficult to determine exactly which ones will be chosen for the Top 12 by the voters.

My favorite acts from the America’s Got Talent 2012 live performances last night were contortionist/dancer TURF, comedian Tom Cotter, strength/balancing act Donovan & Rebecca, and singer Tim Hockenberry. I’d love to see all of them make it through tonight. However, I think singer Danielle Stallings was also quite good, illusionists Hawley Magic were kind of cool, and even though he isn’t a favorite of mine, daredevil archer Ben Blaque was relatively exciting as well.

Before we learn all the final America’s Got Talent 2012 elimination results for Wednesday night, we’ll have performances from Gavin DeGraw and the urban circus Traces. Of course, what we all want to know is who will be going home tonight, so let’s move right along in our America’s Got Talent 2012 recap of the week 9 elimination results and find out!

The first contestants to find out their fate at the hands of the voters tonight are singer Tim Hockenberry and contortionist/dancer Turf. Both of them were exceedingly good last night (and all season so far) in very different ways. Tim Hockenberry has a gorgeous voice, great stage prescence and he emotes beautifully. Turf, however, is just like a human world wonder. Who even knew the things he does with his body are possible at all?

The voters have spoken and wow! America’s Got Talent producers like to screw with us. I thought it was going to be a one got through and one didn’t, but it turns out both Turf and Tim Hockenberry are put through by the judges to the America’s Got Talent 2012 Top 12!

Now we have one of those entirely silly and not really useful bits from the judges as Howie Mandel goes ‘undercover’ as an employee at the hotel where the acts are seeing. His disguise is terrible. It’s so obvious who it is under the horrible wig and fake moustache. Either the people who don’t know it is him are idiots, or it’s all just staged for laughs (or an attempt at laughs anyway).

Next up we have a performance from Gavin DeGraw of his single “Sweeter” from his new album by the same name. I’m not really a Gavin DeGraw fan and the performance was meh to me, so I’m just going to leave it at that.

Up now on stage are four acts to learn the results from the voters: The Aurora Light Painters, The Lisa Clarke Dancers, Big Barry, and The All Ways. These were all, in my opinion, the weakest performances from last night and the weakest acts of the twelve acts in the elimination results tonight.

The results are in and it looks like… all four acts are eliminated! None of them will be going through to the Top 12.

I like all three acts out of this next set, both from last night and of the twelve acts tonight as a whole: Tom Cotter, Hawley Magic, and Lion Dance Me. I’ll be sad to see any of them go, but one of them kind of stands out more than the rest to me and the judges agree… it will be Tom Cotter going through to the Top 12.

The last acts to find out their fate at the hands of the voters tonight are Danielle Stallings, Donovan & Rebecca, and Ben Blaque. Only one of them will make it through. Who will be the last act eliminated in tonight’s America’s Got Talent 2012 results?

The first results are in and it is… Ben Blaque going home!

Naturally, we have to have another break for a performance, this time by the urban circus Trace, before we know who will be the last to be sent packing tonight.

Now it is left to decide between singer Danielle Rallings, and athletic act Donovan & Rebecca. Howard Stern thinks Danielle is just not ready yet, and he thinks Donovan & Rebecca should go through. Sharon Osbourne is torn, but loves Danielle and thinks it should be her in the Top 12.

Howie Mandel splits the tie and he believes the act that should go through is… Donovan & Rebecca!

Our final four from tonight joining the Top 12 are: Tom Cotter, Donovan & Rebecca, Tim Hockenberry and Turf!
